Registered Veterinary Technicians are an integral part of our team. They assist the doctor with your pet in all areas of the hospital, from drawing blood for labwork, monitoring your pet during surgical procedures, acting as surgical assistant to the doctor as well as providing nursing care and attention to our critically ill patients just to name a few. Our Veterinary Technicians work under the direction of the veterinarian. Educational requirements include being a graduate of a 2-year program accredited by the AVMA (American Veterinarian Medical Association) along with the successful passage of the exam to become properly registered. Their patients not only include dogs and cats but also the unusual at Animal Hospital of Tiffin. All of our registered technicians are members of the Ohio Association of Veterinary Technicians.
